Black Russian

A cocktail for the everyone. It's easy, breezy and beautiful. Maybe it's natural. Maybe it's just booze. Yup, it's just booze. And booze is just fine with me! It's amazing how two simple ingredients you wouldn't usually drink alone completely transmorph when combined together. You could say it's one of the best confluences I've ever had.


Two quick notes:

1. our Headwater Vodka or our Espresso Vodka go equally excellent in this drink, because they are made the same way (we just add espresso beans into one). Our vodka is a better choice over other vodkas for this cocktail because it is 100% Albertan red wheat, which brings with it notes of buttery caramel, banana bread and chocolate. Those flavours are enhanced when mixed with coffee liqueur.

2. Don't use Kahlua, if you can help it. We recommend Barista Coffee liqueur or Giffard Coffee liqueur.


We're giving this drink 5/5 google stars, and 5/5 fingers wrapped around the glass. When you combine those together that could be 25 star fingers!

1 oz Headwater Vodka or Espresso Vodka

1 oz Coffee Liqueur


Combine in a rocks glass. Add ice. Stir and serve.


Simple and the best. Simply the best.
